Variants§

§

BullFlag

A rise, then a falling channel; confirms above it.

§

BearFlag

A fall, then a rising channel; confirms below it.

§

BullPennant

A rise, then converging lines; confirms above them.

§

BearPennant

A fall, then converging lines; confirms below them.

§

Rectangle

Flat highs over flat lows; confirms in the direction of the break.

§

AscendingTriangle

Flat highs over rising lows; confirms above.

§

DescendingTriangle

Falling highs over flat lows; confirms below.

§

SymmetricalTriangle

Falling highs over rising lows; confirms in the direction of the break.

§

CupAndHandle

A rounded fall and recovery to the same level, a small pullback, then a break above the rim.

§

InvertedCupAndHandle

The mirror image: a rounded rise and return, a small bounce, then a break below the rim.

§

DoubleTop

Two tops at the same level; confirms below the valley between them.

§

DoubleBottom

Two bottoms at the same level; confirms above the peak between them.

§

TripleTop

Three tops at the same level; confirms below the lower valley.

§

TripleBottom

Three bottoms at the same level; confirms above the higher peak.

HeadAndShoulders

A head above two shoulders; confirms below the neckline through the valleys.
